After several days touring the beautiful hinterlands, it was time to see the beaches. We drove to the Sunshine Coast on a fine tuesday and drove straight to Noosa Heads. It was 82 kms from where we camped in Maleny. First stop was the information centre to get some ideas of where the must-see places are. There are hundreds of places to see so we decided to have breakfast first so we can decide where to go next. We did not have to go far anyway since Sunshine Beach and Noosa National Park is just nearby. Walking along the beach is really relaxing and is truly a good exercise. It was actually a lazy day for us so we just drove around along the coast briefly dropping by Coolum, Maroochydore and Caloundra taking photos of whatever interest us. The following day we went to Eumundi market which is around 60 kms from Maleny. Markets are held every Wednesday and Saturday. I have been to big markets in different towns but this one is huge! We do not know where to start! But anyway, walking around just minutes after we arrived, we passed a tiny booth and the lady gave us a "scratch it" and told us its for free. So we accepted it and started scratching while she explained the prizes to be won. We only need three matching symbols to win either $1000 cash, a gift voucher and 7-day holiday trip to Bali!
Luck or haox but my "scratch it" showed 3 symbols. I won! But we dont know what the prize was yet until we go to their office in Collum to collect it. So we drove to Collum after a few days and waited for hours while we listen to sales speech about holiday time shares blah blah. We knew this was coming but we just listened and see what they have to offer and declined politely and asked about the price we supposedly won. We were hoping it was the cash but we in fact won the Bali holiday but we did not took it. Thanks but no thanks.
